HOW I WORK

I edit and proofread one of two ways—either electronically, using the “Track Changes” function in Word, or in hard copy, writing my comments on the manuscript itself. When I finish editing, I return the document by email or by snail mail and attach or enclose a detailed report in which I explain my edits to the author.

If you are an author in need of proofreading, copyediting, content editing, or tutoring services, you can enlist my help in one of several ways.

If you are ready to get started with Beaumont Hardy Editing, send me an email with your project attached or a snail mail package with your project enclosed. Let me know how much editing you would like me to do. I can do in-depth content editing, copyediting, proofreading, or tutoring. I will send you an email or a letter acknowledging receipt of your project and giving you an idea of how long the editing will take and its approximate cost.

If you are not sure whether my services will be right for you, please send me an email or a letter describing your project, its length, and the kind of editing you would like me to do. I will let you know how I have approached similar projects in the past and can give you an idea of how long the editing might take and what it will cost.

I am also happy to edit a few sample pages, so that you can get an idea of my work before you send an entire manuscript.
